McClure Elementary School will welcome Gané Bourgeois as Principal of McClure Elementary School on July 1, 2025, pending school board approval.
Mrs. Bourgeois has spent the last five years as an Assistant Principal at Eisenhower High School. Prior to this, she was an Assistant Principal at Wilson Middle School for three years, and for seven years she was the Educational Director at the Madison House Community Youth Center where she developed and directed a kindergarten through college educational program. She was a teacher for a total of ten years in the Kent and Yakima School Districts, teaching English, history, and drama.
Mrs. Bourgeois received her Bachelor’s of English and Master’s in Teaching from the University of Washington and her administrative credentials from Gonzaga University.
Mrs. Bourgeois believes that all students should have an opportunity to be their best, at any age. Her core values are consistency, communication, and community. Her hope in this new role is to match the energy levels of imaginative young students, and to empower teachers through a positive school climate. She has incredible respect for the important role that elementary educators play in inspiring young minds, and is excited to learn alongside the staff and students at McClure Elementary School.
Gané is a passionate educator who uses travel to learn and has visited six countries in the last four years. She enjoys time with family and friends and is easily identifiable by her laugh. Gané thoroughly delights in road trip adventures, trying new recipes, and attending concerts or theatrical performances. Her favorite part of life is sharing new experiences with others.
